31 Days of Prayer for Spouses

31 Prayers was designed for one purpose: a continuously revolving prayer system geared toward our spouses. The idea was taken from an email that was forwarded as a type of ‘chain mail’ to one of our staff members and included a list of thirty-one aspects of prayer for husbands, and each listed passages for scriptures that apply. We looked up each scripture and found the ‘series’ to be a very strong monthly prayer plan so we have taken those ideas and written out the scriptures for you, as well as exactly what to pray for in your own husband or wife, which is listed italicized and in red print.

The main idea is to get ourselves into the habit of praying for OTHERS. It is easy to go to God in prayer for your own needs, but we need to be reminded that we are responsible for our sisters and brothers in Christ as well, and especially our spouse! THIS SERIES FOCUSES ON OUR PRAYERS FOR THE MATE IN OUR LIVES SO THAT OUR RELATIONSHIPS MAY COMPLIMENT GOD’S WILL. Whether you are single, in a relationship, or married, there is always a reason for you to pray for your future or current husband or wife and keep standing in the gap for your them, whether they are in your life or have yet to come into your life. To those with someone in their lives, the Lord can speak to them through you, and intercessory prayer for him can work wonders for their soul! Also, for my single readers, pray that your Heavenly Father blesses you with someone that possesses the qualities that the Bible outlines for children of Christ to exhibit!

ON A PERSONAL LEVEL, THESE PRAYERS MAY ALSO BENEFIT YOU GREATLY WITHIN YOURSELF AS IT OUTLINES EACH ASPECT OF GROWTH FOR YOUR CHARACTER AS GOD HAS INTENDED IN YOUR LIFE. There is much to be learned from the prayers, shouting your name out to the Lord in Heaven! For the children of Christ and those seeking Him, these prayers may help you to better understand your responsibilities, and your role, or future role, as a husband or wife.
