Our Ministry requires community and national support in order to maintain its programs. While this does include financial support through donations and sponsorship, we also ask that individuals go a step further and GET INVOLVED by giving of themselves. Our volunteer positions vary greatly and we have positions available in every area of the ministry and every area of the nation!
In today’s society, there are single parents in need… there are children without guidance… there are families on the verge of separation… there are communities with no plan for improvement… there are individuals without hope… Those who aren’t plagued with hunger, poverty, hopelessness, depression, broken homes, violence, and other unfortunately circumstances have the choice whether or not to think about those who are in need, but those who are in need don’t have that option. It is time for those who CAN make a difference to actually DO something that makes a difference.
If you are not able to donate… please keep our ministry partners, directors, staff, and members in your prayers! For those who can, please make a donation! For processing cost reasons, the minimum donation amount is $5, and you can donate as little or as much as you are led and able… any amount helps and will be greatly appreciated. Please send any questions or comments to donations@stepinfaith.org. God works through His servants- please allow Him to work through all of us in ministering to the needs of others. BLESSINGS ARE CONTAGIOUS AND TRANSFERABLE! :) Do your part in setting God’s blessings out into the world…
Each contributor will receive a love gift certificate thanking them for their participation in StepInFaith Ministry’s Project Independence!
You may find out more about our programs and volunteer opportunities by emailing us at volunteer@stepinfaith.org. A summary of our programs is below!
Life Foundation / Foundation for Life:
Foundation for Life provides individuals who have not been exposed to the teachings of Christ to begin to receive ‘bite size’ portions of the Word, which they can more easily understand and more efficiently digest. Many times, it can be intimidating for a person who is curious about Christianity, or someone who has recently accepted Christ to attend interactive Bible sessions and even church because of their lack of prior knowledge. Many of the things introduced are foreign to them, thus discouraging them from attending due to frustration. StepInFaith’s goal is to help these ‘baby’ Christians to grow stronger in their faith by giving them what they thirst for: simple understanding. We start with the basics and provide a foundational seed for them to grow in the knowledge of God’s Word. Project Independence
Project Independence is a general fund which allows us to assist families and individuals with immediate emergency needs throughout the year. Only God gets the victory when we do good works for our neighbors!!! We spend more on one meal in a restaurant than it would take to make a difference in the life of someone else- now can we find it within us to give of ourselves for the Kingdom of Heaven… to give someone hope and faith in the name of Jesus?
Family Unity:
StepInFaith Ministry believes that the norms, values, morals, and standards that rule the lives of every member of society begin at home… a strong union between family members creates a foundation for a life of high expectation, encouragement, and esteem. Our family unity program provides opportunities for families to find ways to function together as a unit, understanding one another and accepting the differences between themselves and each other family member. Join us in our efforts to bring families closer together, strengthening our society as a whole!
General Outreach:
Our ministry is dedicated to helping the community and encouraging growth and improvement. If you are interested in teaming with StepInFaith as a volunteer for our outreach services, or believe that you may be able to assist us in developing outreach programs please click the application link above to be directed to the appropriate form to submit for review. We look forward to working with you in this area! We are always looking for volunteers from all of the country to work as Directors for your region in service to the Lord for His children!
Youth Challenge:
The children of this generation are being short-changed. We label them as incorrigible and we find ways to lock them up. Some of the adolescent offenders have chosen that path and are deserving of their punishments. However, some of these children have no guidance… they have no one to reward them for good behavior, and no one to punish them for acting out. They have no one who encourages them, and no one who expects more from them. As difficult as it may be for some of us to fathom, some of these children have never been taught any better… instead of building them up, we destroy what is left by giving up on them and writing them off… allowing the ‘system’ to raise them, and they end up being adult offenders.
Imagine being raised in a home with a mother who is addicted to crack cocaine and a father who has been in and out of the penitentiary for distribution. Imagine being 9, 10, or 11 years old and repeatedly witnessing domestic violence, neighborhood territory wars, and even rapes. Imagine being an innocent child and being the object of neglect or abuse in a home with no protection and in a community that has given up. How can we expect for a child growing up in circumstances such as these to portray any type of different behavior when we have given up on them and let the streets raise them? How can we not give them a chance? How can we not do all that it takes to right the wrong that has been dealt to them?
Many people may read this and assume that these are extenuating circumstances- that this scenario is just an example of how bad things can get. Think again. This scenario is typical in far more homes than we would like to believe… but we have to bring ourselves into the reality, or we will never take the steps needed to bring the children into normality!
StepInFaith’s Project Youth Challenge is seeking sponsors to help us build a national mentoring program to reach these children and provide them with the emotional nourishment and guidance that they deserve. These kids can be anywhere from 8 to 16 years of age and do not have to be removed from their home… StepInFaith’s volunteer mentors are there to prove that there are people that do care, and that expect more from a bright young child that has the potential to be anything, but without the opportunity to realize it.
Holiday Hopechest:
Each year, people celebrate the joy of Christ’s birth by decorating, giving and receiving gifts, and spending time with their loved ones. For most, Christmas is the most joyous holiday of the year! For many children whose parents are financially unable to participate in the growing excitement of holiday giving, they are left to feel left out of the laughter and cheer they see all around them. The Holiday Hopechest program assists these families with items such as toys, clothing, food, and other gifts to lift the burden and stress that comes from watching their little ones go without all the wonderment of Christmas time. Won’t you help us to help them?
